‘Love untold is as redundant as love absent’
This is the story between father & son. The father’s neglect has created an angry, defiant son who even in his father’s death is left bitter and unresolved.
This is about bad communication. The father loves his son but for whatever reasons is unable to bring himself to tell him. This creates a bitter divide that pushes them further apart. The son believes his father hates him when he wants nothing more than to be loved by his father & to love him back. So much that even death cannot reconcile them. It is then about the efforts of the daughter in reuniting the pair. Will they be reconciled or will the son continue on a road to self-destruction?
Martin (19-23)
Martin is the younger of the twins by 5 mins, but is years behind in the game of life. His bitterness towards his father has pushed him down a path of arrogant isolation & clouded judgement. He is a young man but acts like a brooding 15 year old, angry at his parents and the world. He doesn’t care who is impacted by his problems. The only person in the world he views equally is his sister.
Jenny (19-23)
Jenny is older in every way. She is the glue that holds the family together, shouldering the responsibility her father left behind. She is wise, mature and content in her role, if not overly happy. It is her duty as she is ‘one amongst many’. Although, she is able to see the overall picture and sympathises with her brother, despite her condemnation of his behaviour.
